‘Actors must keep experimenting’

From early character roles in Sarfarosh, Shool and Jungle to a blink-and-miss appearance in Munna Bhai M.B.B.S., Nawazuddin Siddiqui has steadily carved out a space for himself — one he now commands with leading roles. Looking back, he simply calls the journey good and fun. As viewers continue to celebrate his trajectory, he said, “It has been a good journey, and a fun one too.”
“People have seen my graph over the years, but what matters most to me is how I see it. I am happier when I do films like Raat Akeli Hai, where there is experimentation.” He added, “As an actor, you must keep exploring different forms… I believe I have done differently in different movies.”
Pointing to his Raat Akeli Hai co-star Chitrangda Singh as an example of versatility, he said, “Look at Chitrangda… that’s exactly what actors should do.”
He further explained, “An actor should never confine himself to one zone.”— IANS
